Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Pickitapp platform. These terms govern your access to and use of our application, website, and services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Pickitapp application or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services. These terms apply to all users of the platform, including customers who book deliveries and drivers who provide delivery services.
2. Description of Service
Pickitapp is a logistics marketplace that connects individuals and businesses seeking delivery services with independent drivers. Pickitapp acts as a technology platform only and is not a transportation or logistics company. Drivers on the platform are independent contractors, not employees of Pickitapp.
3. User Accounts
To use Pickitapp, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to immediately notify Pickitapp of any unauthorized use of your account. Pickitapp reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Customer Responsibilities
As a customer, you agree to provide accurate delivery information, including pickup and drop-off locations, item descriptions, and contact information. You agree to pay the agreed delivery fee through the platform. You agree not to use the platform to transport illegal, dangerous, or prohibited items. You are responsible for ensuring items are properly packaged for transport.
5. Driver Responsibilities
As a driver partner, you represent and warrant that you hold a valid driver's license and all required permits to operate your vehicle commercially. You agree to maintain appropriate insurance coverage. You agree to handle all items with care and deliver them in the condition received. You agree to treat customers with respect and professionalism at all times.
6. Payments and Fees
Pricing is set by drivers through the platform's bidding system. Customers agree to pay the accepted offer price. Pickitapp may charge a service fee on transactions, which will be disclosed before booking confirmation. All payments are processed through the platform. Refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of a completed delivery and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms. Prohibited conduct includes: transporting illegal goods, providing false information, manipulating pricing through fraudulent means, harassing or threatening other users, attempting to circumvent the platform to conduct transactions off-platform, and creating multiple accounts to abuse promotions or ratings.
8. Limitation of Liability
Pickitapp is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service. Pickitapp's total liability for any claims arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific delivery giving rise to the claim. Pickitapp does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or reliability of any driver or delivery.
9. Disputes Between Users
Pickitapp encourages users to resolve disputes directly. If a resolution cannot be reached, users may contact Pickitapp support for mediation. Pickitapp reserves the right to make final decisions in disputes involving platform policy violations. Pickitapp is not liable for losses arising from disputes between customers and drivers.
10. Termination
Pickitapp reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, with or without cause, including for violations of these terms. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these terms will immediately cease.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to users via email or in-app notification at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kigali, Rwanda.
